A distro with its own little world
Meowven OS is an independent Arch-based Linux distribution created by clxcht. Its Plasma and Hyprland desktops carry Meowbah colors, its package command says meow grant, and its fan shrine is devoted to Meowbah.
The name is Meowven: a little meow, a little heaven. The system has its own OS metadata, Fastfetch presentation, desktop themes, wallpaper, and installer branding.
What it's built from
Arch Linux provides the package ecosystem. Choose KDE Plasma or Hyprland for the desktop. Calamares provides the graphical installation framework. Meowven brings them together with its own packages and defaults.
The current editions are Hyprland 0.2.0 with the official Chroma rice, and Plasma 0.1.0. Both remain in early development. The ISO downloads and release source archive are available without an account. The working GitHub repositories remain private.
The Shrine
The Shrine takes inspiration from meowbah.net: the personal, playful spirit of an old-web fansite, with lace, tiny rituals, and devotion. The Meowbah artwork was supplied from that site; the fan-written prayers are Meowven's own.
